lowering body kits are about $2000 (whole). you should put a turbo in it.you can always get stuff cheaper if you go to racing spots though, or if you have any friends that are into that kind of stuff.i have a civic si, its pretty nice stock, faster when you put an injen turbo in it thoughyes, i am a girl. dont be so quick to judge

Hondas pretty much snap together, very easy to mod. I have a Del Sol which, with very little car knowledge, I managed to do most of the work myself. What parts depends on what you want to do, how much depends on what you choose as there are different grades. The only original thing left on my car is the body and the interior. Everything's cost me about $10K, and I smoke people on the track every weekend. A lot of parts came from http://www.importperformanceparts.net/Body kit came from http://www.grounddynamics.com/merchant/mainpage.htm

Civics have the most availible parts but Honda Civics suck as far as performance is concerned. I'd probably buy a 1995 Nissan 240SX. They are nice looking stock, have RWD, a strong cast iron engine block (1000+ hp capable), helpful fanbase, there are a good number of body kits for them including the JDM Silvia S15 front end conversion which puts in much nicer looking headlights, and etc. The Nissan 300ZX wouldn't be a bad idea since you can get them stock with twin turbos which takes out the hassle of finding/fabing a downpipe, manifold, and all the other turbo related parts.

Mitsubishi eclipse and lancer are both easy cars to supe up with a large verity of performance parts and body kits and cheaper then the only nice civic the Si for base runs about 22,000 vs the lancer for about 13,000 and the eclipse for 20,000. id go with the lancer you can get a fast sporty lookin car by adding 8,000 dollars to it

yea civics and integras are easy to tune and sick cars for tearin up on tha streets .. they got a lot of aftermarket parts for em' but if you wanna be fast for a civic do an engines swap go for a b16,b18, or h22 ,, then do some basics like exhuast, intake, headers, but if you wanna be even faster and you can afford go turbo,, but like the guy on top of me said, you can also go with a camaro , ,if i were you i would go with a z28 a camaro you can either go for the 94-97 model with the Lt1 or with the 98-02 model z28 with the Ls1 engine ,, i would definitely go with the 98-02 model Ls1 300+hp engine , o yeaaa !! now thats fast ,, you wont need much after market parts for these camaros because they are already fast bone-stock .. o yeaaa cant mess with Ls1 V8 !! you can get an 01' one for about 10k ,, so good luck on yo buy bro
