Most likely a weak connection on one or more of the door switch(es). Very common, usually means someone needs to remove the door panel and clean the connections.

Did you try to see if they will work from the individual door switches when they're not working? There should be one master switch and 3 sub switches on the doors other than the driver's. if they work from the individual door switches and not from the master switch then the master switch is bad or has a loose connection. Because the condition is intermittant I would think the connector on the back (underside) of the master switch has vibrated loose or is corroded so that the contact is poor.beyond that, I there is a power window relay in the underhood fuse box that could be failing. I think the relays are pretty much interchangeable, so if you open the hood and go to the under hood fuse box it should have a label on the underside of the cover that identifies the power window relay. the relay will look like a small square black box. just exchange it with another one that looks like it and then see if the windows come back to life. if they do then you'll know it is the relay that's bad.so the problem will be with either the master switch, the connection to the master switch or the underhood power window relay.hope that helps

It could either be bad wiring, especially where the door hinges are, or the window regulator
