Default o2 sensor extension available for 2005 dx civic?

I can't seem to find this anywhere. I want to install my cold air intake, but I already have a throttle body spacer on my car so now the o2 sensor cannot reach the inlet on the cold air intake. I was thinking of just connecting it using a tube but don't know if the sensor will pick up the right info... please help! thanks.

Are you asking about the oxygen sensor or the intake air temperature sensor? The oxygen sensor is in the exhaust manifold and shouldn't be in any way involved with the installation of a cold air intake.the intake air temp sensor is a thermistor that works by changing the resistance in a circuit to the PCM that is used to determine the temperature of the air according to a voltage drop calculation. For it to work there needs to be air flowing over the sensor. It may make a minor difference where in the intake airstream the sensor is located (closer or farther away from engine heat sources) but it won't be much of a difference. what is critical is that the intake air flows over the sensor.I don't know what you're proposing with regard to the "tube". if your modification doesn't have a provision for the intake air to flow over the sensor the solution will be self defeating as the temperature reported through the sensor will not be a true indication of intake air temp. worse yet, if the air around the sensor is warmed because its stagnant then the PCM will think the intake air is warmer not colder and that's the opposite of what you want with a cold air intake.hope that helps
