perhaps ya'll can help me out. I have a 1995 honda accord 6 cyl. I have a relatively new battery (with clean posts). I bought the car over a year ago. every once in a while when I tried to turn the car on nothing would happen- no clicks or turning over sounds. (the A/C, stereo, and all other electronic devices would work normally). Over the course of the year+ (minus 6 months in Iraq) the issue has become worse. Usually, I would turn the key back and try again with success. I would also ensure everything is turned off (A/C, Radio etc..) Sometimes I would get a boost from jumper cables or battery charger with great success. This past weekend was the worse when I went on a trip and almost got stranded. I have also noticed that it happens more often when I have other things plugged in to the power outlet i.e. radar detector, tomtom, car charger, iPod etc...) but the problems occurs regardless of climate, whats plugged in, etc...

I had a mechanic tell me that he had seen similar issues and replaced the sarter. I have also seens threads with ignition switch. dazed and confused...

Alright mate, i wouldn't take it to your nearest mechanic, i would take it to the nearest Honda garage to get it sorted.

The starter sounds like a good place to start. If it doesn't click or anything after several attempts with the key, bang on the starter with something and try again. The starter is an easy fix - 10min in and out. Pull it at autozone or some place with a starter tester. I change my starter 2 or 3 times a year and got it down to about a 2min swap.
