29 - 37 (automatic in the city to highway with the manual)

If you own this car, you can test it yourself:If you want to accurately measure you MPG, do these steps1) fill you tank to the max(2) reset the odometer (tripometer)(3) drive on the HWY (at 55 for comparison to other cars)(4) drive using cruise control - to eliminate bad habit (VERY IMPORTANT)(5) drive about 30 minute / 30 miles (longer = more accurate)(6) now get gas again - fill it the MAX(7) note the gallon just filled AND mile drive.(8) calculate MPG = miles / gallonYou cannot use your GAS gauge to know if you finished using the gas. Also if you don't use the cruise you are putting in your driving habit, traffic, etc. on different days as variable. So you should do this at evening or night hours.You can also use this technique whenever you think your car is gets better or worst MPG. It only cost you about 1 gallon of gas ($4) and that is cheaper than paying a mechanic to find ghosts (problems that doesn't exists).Good Luck...

i have a 1998 lx automatic. i get about 25-28 mpg city. i also am "lead footed" if you know what i mean. I drive only 14 miles a day (to and from school).

Mine is a 2000 LX Automatic with 91,000 miles. Bone stock and getting 34 to 38. Today I hand calculated at fillup and got 38.06 mpg...yes! Mostly highway, some city. Little bit of cruise control. Not heavy on the foot. Thinking about changing out the plugs and going with some Bosch platniums. Don't know when the plugs in there were changed...the look brown though. Not burnt or anything.

I have found that Fuel Economy is a great site that has lots of useful info on fuel economies for various vehicles. it also allows folks to input actual MPG's thus giving a broad spectrum of info.
