Default how much for a b16 swap into my 1994 Honda civic ex?

I want to get a b16 swap into my 1994 Honda civic ex. What would I need and how much will it come out too for everything including instalation? Or should I just buy a 2000 Honda civic si?

Well most shops charge about 2000 for the whole install. You can get a 2000 si for more money, but a 94 is alot lighter.

A b16 swap into an ex is preety simple and not too expensive. besides the engine and tranny, your also gonna need some axles and motor mounts. you already have the right wiring harness and ecu since ur car is already obd1 and its vtec so no need to buy new ones. as far as prices for everything including motor mounts and axles go, your looking at 2500 installed. but thats jdm b16 sir engine and not a usdm. jdm engines come with more horsepower and torque... now if your thinking of getting a 2000 s.i, i suggest you go with that option better..i have pwned a 94 ex, a 97 ex and i now own an a 2000 si. theres nothing better than owning an s.i. i love everything about this car. it already comes with a b16a2. and the car looks super clean even if you do nothing to it but just lower it. try to get one as stock as you possibly can that wat you know it hasnt been through hell and back. oh yeah and the s.i was only made in 99-2000 si its becoming more of a collectors car..hope this helps

i agree with most said above... keep your harness but you need a new ecu. your p28 is obd1 and vtec but its for a soch. chip it with a b16 map or get an obd1 b16 ecu from a del sol.find some friends and do the swap yourself. its not hard at all. my first one took me a weekend.. now i can do it in like 4 or 5 hours.

Well without installion and with 1 coming with everything you'd need it could come up to $1700.http://got-jdm.com/9295-jdm-b16a-doh...n-ecu-p-9.html

Well the Si and EX are two different models the Si's weighs more, but comes standard with the swap bit different suspension and newer. Ok swap time.on hmotorsonline.com the B16 engine cost around $1700, they sale hasport motor mounts with the swap for extra $300 I suggest you to buy it. On top of that your either need to get a Integra or Del Sol DOHC/Si 99-00 shifter cables since the dserious is to short or buy one new from hasport.com, on the axles you need to blend the inner of the b16 with the outer of the EX or buy new ones DSS Axles are the strongest but cost more. The EX harness can be used and only a few wires need to be run from the B16 ecu to the engine knock sensor, a 2 or 3 other forgot at the moment. Avg cost 1700 motor 300 mounts, $450 axles and shift linkage, $2450+shipping $2600-2700, labor $700. Pro is you can sell your old swap motor tranny ecu and b16 harness for $400-600 on honda-tech bring down your cost of the swap. Before you swap research alot on honda-tech.com go on the FAQ's search botton, also for to mention buy or rent engine hoist, you need a good set of sockets and breaker bar.I would by a Si, because they nice and have B16 all ready in it. But theives in chicago suck so I be scared to drive it around. GL

I have a 94 ex w/ b16a2 swap personally and love it. You can expect to end up paying about 2-3000 to buy the motor and have somebody put it in. Solid mounts such as Avid or hasport are recommended - you would need any b series hydro linkage - your harness would work as mentioned. The 99-00 civic si is a frequently stolen car for the b16. The 92-95's are direct swap for b series just minor changes. I suggest you do a little research on hondaswap.com or honda-tech.com for some more information. It is a common swap and fairly easy.
