Exclamation 1997 Civic Sedan Problem.. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Hey guys. I drive a 97 Civic LX. with a d16y7 engine... recently my cars been sluggish. and when i get on the gas from a stop and sometimes when im moving, the car doesnt go anywhere fast and putters along. It feels like i have wheel hop like doing a burnout... kinda like slippage. I originally thought it was the transmission but it also does it in park when i rev it fast. It only does it for a few seconds then it kicks in and is fine until i need alot of throttle again. I think it might possibly be the fuel injectors need cleaning... hopefully. If there are any mechanics or car guys that could help me out id really appreciate it cuz im 17, its my first car and i dont wana sell it for something else.
