i own a 98 prelude and am in a 97-01 prelude owners club. Short Ram $30-$300. Yes you can buy one from $30 from eBay. A few owners in the club that im in have one and it sounds better than the AEM ones and delivers about the same horsepower increase, and i'm some cases more, than the AEM cold air intakes or regular short ram's. AEM V2 is a good intake though, most popular amongst 97-01 prelude owners. Run about $280-300, but deliver exceptional performance and sound for a short ram. It's really up to you if you want to pay for the name or not, but if you live in California, you'll have to pay for the AEM to pass smog inspection, cause the eBay ones are not CARB legal. From an intake? We've seen at most i believe it was 6HP increase from someone using the AEM V2. Whoever says it gets you like double digits is way off, if you had the right set up and tuning, your intake might get you double digit HP increases, but for most prelude's, you'll get under 10HP.Exhaust - great for some power gains. Seen as much as 17HP, don't remember which one it was though, but ones like the G-Reddy Ti-C are really popular amongst prelude owners. Most good exhaust set ups cost over $500 installed. If you get the exhaust, go for the headers, The really good ones are like $1000+ cause they are custom built, but go for a DC sports one and you can get it at less than half the cost of those custom ones, it will give you a few more HP too.

cold air intake since these are more ideal for mid range power over the short ram intake which is more for high end 4-2-1 header also might be worth takin a lookif ur really lookin to tear up the street under low end power...supercharger or turbo is the way to go honda's little I4 motors dont make little/no low end power .....they got high rev'in motors
