I know someone selling the accord for 500$ It has 250 000 Km on it already, there is a little rust, no major problems. is it worth it to buy? is the accord normally a good car?

its not a accord ex-r, theyre is no such thing as a ex-r accord in the US. so tell the person who is selling it to at least get the title right, its accord ex. the accord is a good car, this one has 250k, properly maintained u can get 15 to 20000 more miles out of it

With how many miles the car has, it won't have too much more life left in it. If you are mechanically inclined, used Japanese imported engines can be sourced fairly cheaply, around $600 or so for one with 50K miles or so. This is only really practical if you are doing the work yourself, otherwise expect to pay a pretty good amount for someone else to do the swap, plus a new timing belt, water pump, plugs, etc. Plus, the transmission, wheel bearings and such are probably worn if they haven't already been replaced.

he never said he was from the us. the ex-r is a canadian model and is the same as the us spec ex. 250 kms is only 155k miles which at that mileage it is barely broken in for a accord. at 500 that car is a steal, get it.
