My wife's 2002 (new model) CR-V has suddenly developed a problem with the indicator lights. Selecting Left or Right, that side's lights all flash, but very rapidly. The rear turn lights are quite faint, difficult for other drivers to see, but definitely work. The other turn lights are all fine as well, aprt from flashing too quickly. I've tried replacing the rear bulbs - no change. Strangely, when the same lights flash using the hazard warning switch (or when locking/unlocking the car remotely), all the turn lights work correctly and at the correct brightness. The turn lights on the dash also work OK, and the relay is clicking, only faster than usual.

I'd be grateful for any ideas/suggestions.

I am no expert, however, i have had this happen to me twice on other model cars.
One was a bad ground. Check all of your grounds for good contact.

The other was a warning device to tell me I had a burned out light.
I hope this helps...

Thanks - I'm not good on the DIY so I've booked it into the garage tomorrow. I'll post the results in case it's of interest to others.
