im having a bad leak from the vtec solenoid, im thinking of replacing the gasket first to see where that gets me, im hoping the solenoid doesn't need replacing, anyways, what are some steps to replacing it, i dont know if i need to drain my oil before doing so, any help is appreciated

it probably needs to be replaced.. part of the vtec solenoid is oil pressure sensor.if you replace it you dont need to drain the oil, just put a rag under it and unbolt it, clean the surfaces and replace it.
