Default air conditioner problems with 2000 honda civic?

I just got the compressor replaced on my car cause it went out, the air conditioner has always been cool not cold, but i figured the air would be colder with a new compressor. Its not colder, i know its not right cause my girlfriend's car is alot colder in the same hot weather,my car has 100k miles, any one know what it could need or what is wrong with it?i put gauges on it, and its fully charged... So anything else?

take it back to the place that replaced the compressor. it probably just needs a little more freon. or they may have not tightened something enough and caused the freon to leak out. if you got your compressor replaced. they should have charged the system( put freon in it).and should be cold.

put an air conditioning thermometer in the center outlet vent and measure the outlet temperature with the air conditioning set to 'face' and the blower speed on "high" in the 'fresh' air mode.your outlet air temperature should be 39-42F.the r-134a systems are terribly inefficient at idle. they get their coldest going down the road when you have additional airflow over the condensor.my 2 civics are cool at best at idle but do get colder when driving. also, they blow older air with the fan set to a lower speed where the air has more time to pass over the evaporator than on high speed where there is less time to pull the heat out of the incoming air.if the center vent temp is over 42 degrees there is a problem. possibly with the temp sensor on the evaporator or restricted condensor air flow.hope that helps
