Default Hi, I'd like to reupholster my '93 Honda Accord because the interior is so ugly!?

EVERYTHING (even the seatbelts!) in the interior is a horrid, stained, navy blue right now. I'm perfectly capable of doing the seats, carpet and hard plastic. My problem is with the dash - it's a flexible vinyl fabric intimately adhered to a soft foam pad.I know the answer seems simple - just rip off the old vinyl and glue new vinyl to the pad. But I don't think it will be that simple. If you have an older honda, go look at the dash and you will see that that probably won't work.Any suggestions to how I can redo the dash in this car? My only other option is to choose a color that will go with that ugly blue. That would probably be white and I think it would be a bad idea to do a car in white because of stains.

It would probably be more cost effective to buy another '93 Accord with a different color interior.

I would get a new car, but you can just buy decent seats from sparco & stuff. The dashes come from places out of MotorTrend. I think you should try AutoEverything.comI think they have dashes & seats

i have a very good idea to make your interior car nice .. drive it to mexico and get it done over there... it's cheap and you can have any color interior you want ............

you can always go to a fabric shop ( JoAnn, Hancock) or a local upholstery shop and get some hide of the nauga (naugahyde fabric) or some fake leather...all colors...( try a nice gray or whatever color goes with the seats..) you can get some good glue and do it yourself, if you're handy with a razor and can make it fit without wrinkles. They make really nice looking seat covers now, fake leather or real leather if you have the money...that way you save on the upholstery.
