Default 1992 Honda Accord, Fan comes on after I turn off car?

I recently acquired a 1992 Honda Accord. So far I LOVE this car. But of course I bought it used and it has fairly high miles. So never owning one before I do not know what is "normal"? There are no wierd noises or anything but after I turn off the car the fan will kick on. It generally stays on 2-5 minutes. (I've not actually timed it, but this is my best guess) I was wondering if this is something NORMAL for this car? Any knowledgeable answers would be greatly appreciated, thank you. Thanks fellas. I just needed to know if this was normal, sounds like it is! From what else I read on this forum, Honda is a great car if well maintained worth the money you spend on them 10x over!

Yes, I had an Accord in that era and other cars that did that. What's important to know is, don't start doing engine work right after turning off the engine. You could lose a finger!

This is normal. The fan cools off the top of the engine where the fuel injectors are. It keeps the fuel from boiling in the injector loop.

yes this is normal for this car what happens is the water temp heats up in the radiator because the car is off and has no circulation and the fan cuts on to cool the water in the radiator

completely normal. if you look around the fan area you will find a sticker warning techs that this fan will com on spontaneously with the key off.
