Default 1997 Honda Accord EX 125,000 miles: Keep it?

I don't know what to do! I just put $700 into the damn thing for maintenance (alignment, 2 new tires, oil change, new sparkplugs, & 120000mi. checkup) and for the last 2 years my door lock actuators make this REALLY loud noise. I don't want to fix that myself and 2 places have quoted me $500 to fix the crazy noise. It sounds like Chewbacca or something- I get stares in every single parking lot everyday when I lock my car or turn off my engine.-Should I keep the car and put the $500 in to fix this? -Will it last me till about 200,000 miles like everyone says it should? -Or should I start looking for a different car (hopefully a 2005 or later)? I'd like to keep it for another 2 years so I can save up more money...... HELP! advice from car know-it-alls needed!the first two answers are awesome, but if anyone hasn't responded yet, please give your two cents because i'd like as many opinions as i can get!!!!!!!

This car will last you 300,000 miles or even more. The Honda Accord holds the title for most reliable car in the world according to many magazines, car tv shows and websites. The Price of an Accord goes down by more than $2000 every 50,000 miles. For example, you can sell it for $1000 more if you sell it at 199,000 miles instead of 200,000 miles. So sell it before 200,000 miles.Just fix the noise if it really bothers you.

Default hear are some actuators... let me explain.. the actuator is a solenoid.. and a solenoid is a electro magnet.. what you hear is the north section being attracted by the south.. the two of them maiting.. if you cut the voltage going to them . you could make them more silent.. but really why spend money on a noise.. my cars make the sound also i welcome the sound then i know that it is locked or unlocked ok. by all means keep the car it will last longer then two hundred thousand.. and learn to do the maintenance yourself.
