i was looking at buying a Honda prelude and after doing some research i concluded that i want a v-tec version. i'm looking at the 92-96 range. I know for 92 that they have 3 different model engines the s the si and the vtec version. But after 92 i cant figure out if the same 3 engines are avail be. I heard after 92 that vtec was made standard. Is this by any means true?thanksAlright cool, so the si has four wheel steering.

Not all Si models come with four wheel steering standard. four wheel steering on a Prelude is really rare good luck finding one of those. The type S model has the F22a1 SOHC, the SI H23a1 is DOHC non-vtec, and the vtec model of course comes with a H22a1 DOHC Vtec. I have 1993 Prelude I bought with the F22a1 engine. I did a engine swap on mine now i have the H22a JDM now.
