another possibility is that it might be a wire connector that runs from the door to the inside of the car. apparently from what my mechanic told me it's sometimes caused just by merely closing and opening the door so much and it ends up breaking the wires. if you open the door there's a ribbed tubing going from your door to the inside of the car( incase you didn't notice that or just didn't know). at any rate I tried to get a part for it but my mechanic got sent the wrong part like 3 times so finally i said screw it. the part was only about 50 or so bucks i think but the labor was about 100 to 200. besides that it could be the motor that controls your window. the only window that works on my car is my driver side and that goes out sometimes. also my locks don't work either cause of the wire problem. I'm not sure how much a new motor and installation would be probably a little more than what it was for me to get the connector done. well good luck!
