If you don't know the answer to that already, I really hope you're not doing the engine swap yourself...

Odsybmx is whack. there are quite a bit of streetable Civics running 11s- some are even in the 10s. Do a search on 10 sec Hondas on your search engine. Anyway, while I agree with the first answer, I will give you the low down. An H22 will be the one to have for drag racing. Natural by size, It will have more torque to start with. However, as an overall choice, I have to say the B18C. Why? There are several reasons. One: The B18C is a much easier swap in than an H22. Two: The weight of the H22 makes a Civic very front heavy- meaning your handling will suck no matter what suspension you throw on it. Three: B-series in general have interchangeable factory parts. That alone tells you that the aftermarket has to suport that concept. What can you going to interchange with an H22? Four: If you like A/C, forget it with an H22. An a/C system won't fit under the hood of a Civic with an H22. Not saying you desire it but it's not even an option. Good luck.

do your own research. the b18c is a better motor.the h22 makes a little more power from the factory but is a poor set up in my opinion as they have crappy transmissions and the internals cannot support much in power.
