I'm new to this forum so please be gentle with me.........

I'm picking up my type V on Tuesday - can't wait. 2002 on a 51 plate - had to travel a long way to find the spec and colour (and price) I wanted but I'm happy with what I saw so I bought it. The sat nav, however, doesn't look clever. When I tried it out on the test drive it kept saying "can't read disk - error" (or something like that). We've got a couple of 2004 Touring Accords at work and both of their sat navs suffer the same problem. I've been told that its very often just a case of popping in a laser lense cleaning DVD a handful of times. Is anyone familiar with this fault??. Alternatively how much of a job is it to strip the sat nav out and pop in a DVD player / what have you? (I've actually got a dell X5 PDA with sat nav built in which I prefer to use anyway - I just don't want a big blank screen sitting there doing nothing whilst I'm driving)
