I'd go with the short ram because it takes alot less time to get that air into the engine which would mean faster combustions

The Colc air will give you a better horse power boost because you will be inducting cold air which is less dense over all helping increase horsepower not to mention about 1mpg or so. If you car is an automatic the cold air will not fit because the tranny is in the way so you are stuck with short ram.short ram intakes will give you horsepower be because the air is being drawn from the engine bay it is hot air that is being fed to the motor.Have Cold air intakes on all of my Cars

cold air is always best. its "healthier". but seriously, CAI all day. short ram would cause hot air to go in the engine which is already hot. you want to keep the engine as cool as possible to reduce chance of overheating

Both will give you a little bit more hp but the cold air intake will give you more than the short ram. On the other hand tho the short ram you wont have to worry about sucking in water from floods or deep puddles. Also although hte short ram will give you less hp because its sucking in hot air it will give you the hp faster on the rpm range than on the cold air. That means the extra hp kicks in at lower rpms
