How is the "Fit" perform when climbing slope, especially on highways?

It depends on what kind of driver you are. I drive a Honda Accord V6 and when I drove the fit I liked it. It wasn't as quick but it could hold its own, its even better with the 5 Speed Manual, but the automatic with the paddle shifters would be okay too. The only thing I didn't like about it was the back seat, it was too firm.

DEpends on where the slope is - east coast slope it should have no problem, Denver Rockies - everything is "low powered" at 5000-10000 feet.With the research Honda does, I assume it would be geared to place the5th gear at highway speeds (55-65) right in the heart of the torque curve. This gives it maximum power for pulling hills in top gear.At $3.50/gal, I feel it has plenty of power and love the 40 mpg.THere are also tons of mods available for more power AND mpg.

The Fit has plenty of power for any normal driving. Even going through the mountains, may slow some on steep inclines if you've got a heavy load but it will do it. This is a really good car in my opinion, and though it's small by today's standards you can comfortably fit a good amount of stuff and people in it too.
