OK, 1st off it's spelt VTEC. v-Tech is a phone manufacturer. not trying to be mean, just correcting you. All the Si's after 92 came with the VTEC engine. If your talking about the new Si's, they come with a K20 motor. Equivalent to the RSX-S.

92-95 chasis came in a single over head cam vtec. SOHC Vtec which doesnt make much power? maybe like 120hp. . 96-00? came in dual over head cam vtec engines DOHC Vtech. which is a ok motor. B16 engines are like de stroked acura integra gsr and type r engines but less .2 liters. and less about 20-40 hp.The Si hatch back came in the k20 engine. Which isnt that good in my opinion. Dont get me wrong its a great engine but its the same one in the base model rsx. Top model civic with a base model rsx engine.
