Default Honda Civics?

Do any 08 Honda Civics come with a larger than 4 cylinder engine? And if anyone has driven one with a 4 cylinder are they slow starters?

I've test driven one. But they are all 4 cyl. They are not the biggest engine in the world. They're designed for efficiency and high mpg's. The Si model is a performance trim and has the biggest 4 cyl avalible. As expected, it's much higher in price. The smallest 4 cyl is good enough to get the car moving easily, but with the a/c on and 4 people, expect it to struggle a little.

Honda only offers a 4cyl engine for the Civic. If you go with the Civic Si, or the Mugen sedan they are more powerful than the base Civic.

My friend just recently bought an 08' Civic, it runs smooth and has a very powerfulengine. His is a 4-valve for sure, but I'm not entirely sure if they come bigger than 4-valves. If you want to find out more you should use this site.http://automobiles.honda.com/civic/

All Civics come with a four cylinders. All trims will come with a 140hp except the Si which has 197hp and 6 speed manual transmission. If you get one with an automatic transmission they will seem to be slow starters because the aren't meant to be fast. If you are looking for speed off the line you need a manual transmission.

Nope, all civics are 4 cylinders. The LX and DX models are slowest of all, especially with an automatic transmission. The EX/Si are the faster ones of the series, with VTEC motors and a little more torque than the base modelsBut all still 4 cylinders.

no they all come with a 4 cyclinder but they are decently quick starters with a couple of modifications easily done. They do come in 2 types though the normal 4 cyclinder with 140 hp and one the si is still a 4 cyclinder with 197 hp. But with my suggestion to be quicker go with a manual car
