I'm a very stubborn guy with my sights set on the Honda Civic Si. Here lies the issue: I'm a courier, and this vehicle will be used as my delivery vehicle. Getting a used car is not an option. And I've had a few people who already tried talking me out getting the Civic Si because a Civic LX can do exactly the same job. I just feel like it is more fun to drive the Civic Si.Gas prices ain't gonna get any lower. There's a big difference in the Civic LX / EX's 35 MpG vs the Civic Si's 25 MpG. I just want your suggestion. Maybe I just might have a change of heart.

Honestly, I'd go with the more economical friendly Civic LX, gas prices now a days are just crazy. Forget the ride and what's more fun to drive. If both models do the same job and your going to use this car as a delivery vehicle, save some money and go with the Civic LX. Maybe in the future if gas prices can go down, you'll be able to afford a even better car!

I own the fit and it is more spacious than the other two by far. it gets fantastic milage rides great handles solid and nimble a bit too nimble even. it had paddle shifters and can plug in amp3 player . its worth a test drive but be prepaired you'll love it. the only complaint i have is they only offered it at my purchase date in white black or silver. I chose silver with the sport package tinted my windows and it looks hot.

I have a 2007 Civic Si sedan. I intended to get an EX with a 5-speed manual, but the Si was just too nice a car to drive. I can confirm that the Civic Si needs premium fuel and lots of it around town. I love my Si, and I haven't had any problems with it, but if I was driving it all the time as a delivery vehicle, I'd be making a lot more money with something that gets 10 mpg better on regular fuel. Also, the Civic Si is pretty intense. If you're driving on crummy city streets, you might be more comfortable in a cushy EX, and you'll also save money when it comes time to replace the 16 tires instead of the Si's 17s. And when tire replacement time comes around, you can pick some high mileage specials what will last 80,000 miles, while the longest lasting tires for the Si might be good for 45,000 miles. Mind you, I'd be better off financially if I'd gotten an EX too, but I do enjoy every time I get behind the wheel of my Si.

I have a 2008 Honda Civic EX Sedan and it is so much fun to drive. I just took my first road trip to TN and it was a breeze to drive, even at speeds up to 80 mph. If you need a car for your job as a delivery vehicle, then I think the LX or EX would be more practical. I'm not sure about the actual MPG of 35 vs. 25 MPG for any of the models, though. If you are considering a manual transmission, you may get closer to those numbers. My average MPG is about 25-30 with an AT & mixed city/Hwy driving. Whatever decision you make with the 2008 Honda Civic will be a good one! Good luck.
