my honda civic is making a lot a lot of noise whenever i turn it on and especially when i press on the gas..what should i do? i am away at school..what can it be??

Take it to a mechanic to get it checked. Its probably needs a maintenances.

Well - you need a better description.Off the top of my head - have you checked the exhaust? If your tailpipe or muffler has a hole in it your engine will sound LOUD and the noise will get worse the more you rev it up.IF this is the case, don't worry about it. Your car will not die. It's just loud (and if the hole is in front of the catalytic converter your car will pollute a little more)

what kind of noise is it makin? is it driving normal?

if is a real loud noise when you press the gas.... must be a huge hole in the muffler, or your car is telling u pleas take himto a mechanic!!!!!!!!!!!!!
