If I buy a shock with coilover set do I still need a spring compressor to take out the old and install the new one? or is that just needed for installing the springs and shocks separately

you need proper tools , the spring is compressed very tight.they are easy to remove out and in to the car.remove them and take it to a repair shop let them swap shocks and springs*** not safe if you don't know what you doingi have shop in NJ price is about $300 max for all
