okay so, i have a 1997 civic ex coupe. its all stock, running a d16y8 motor and i want to buy the b18c motor from "http://www.hmotorsonline.com". and i was wondering if i could just buy that and, for lack of a better term, pop it in. or do i need other parts.if you know anything about engine swaps please let me know.thanks

Well, I'll give you a list to help.You'll need...1. The complete engine with accessories.2. The FULL wiring harness and ECU.3. The correct transmission or a compatable one.4. Engine mounts.5. An Intake and possible aftermarket header and exhaust system designed for your specific swap.6. Good luck!

The swap needs motor mounts, shift linkage and axles to fit the DOHC transmission. On that not the swap will come with the motor, engine harness, and ecu. Rywire.com can do you a new harness and hasport.com suppiler the motor mounts and shift linkage. The swap isnt easy you need to run a few wires and make sure the timing is correct. In that note, you can build you Y8 and boost it for the cost of the swap and it be faster then a stock GSR swap.
