I have a 2004 honda civic dx i think or lx there 6 1/2 speakers in front door and back deck well i took of the door panel and the hole wont let me put in my alpine type r so has anyone every put new speakers into this car or a car like it what do you do

If your Alpine Type R's are also 6.5" as your Civic 6.5"..then there should be no problem. The bolt patterns are all standard. The only problem may be is if you got an oval shape speakers, when your factory speakers were round...or vice-versa.

from the way you are explaining it i think the mounting depth are different on the alpine speakers, is there a plastic cup thing the speaker goes into? if there is cut out the back part of it, thats really the only thing you can do, or you can just new speakers
