If you're not a car enthusiast, get a Honda. A Supra is a gas-guzzling beast made for enthusiasts. Don't get me wrong, when a post-93 Supra is done right, it is an awesome thing to see.

Honda or Supra? Uh, huh? Well, the Civic is a better economy car than a Supra is. Did you have something more specific in mind? Comparing apples to apples, whether Honda or Toyota is better is a matter of personal preference. Honda and Toyota both have overall histories of reliability that are only equalled by each other. Honda tends to be better at achieving extreme fuel economy, and their vehicles tend to have better handling and give better feedback than do comparable Toyotas. OTOH, some people prefer their car to feel "softer," so Toyota wins as far as grandma is concerned. Maintenance and repairs tend to be slightly more straightforward and tolerant of improvisation on Toyotas than Hondas. For me, personally, though, I'd rather DRIVE a Honda, but ignoring how it drives, I'd rather OWN a Toyota. But in either respect, the differences aren't HUGE, and it all comes down to what you want from a car.

Review JD Power initial quality ratings and analyze with regard to price. The eventual answer is neither. Hyundai is very high quality and at a much lower cost. If you want something along the lines of a supra, the V6 Tiburon is pretty quick.

Honda is more reliable then Toyota. Dude has owned a European/Jap repair shop for over 20 years and I have raced Honda's and Toyota's.So I say Honda.
