first action is try and contact the original dealership where it first sold, they may still have it on file, if no luck next is go to a good reputable audio shop and fitter they will help you, also take a good look inside your owners hand book a small 4 or 5 diget number written down in side the cover.

Check in your glove box, and inside your trunk, and on the side edge of your drivers door. If there is no 5 digit code, go to an Acura dealer and IF they can get the serial number for your radio off the screen on your stereo then they can pull the code EASILY for you, within like 5 mins and HOPEFULLY for free.If they can't do it that way they will have to unmount your stereo and the serial # and then pull the code.BUT if you know the original seller or dealer try that first, they may have it on file.

You need to call the dealer from where it was bought. If you don't know where it was bought from, then call any Honda or Acura Dealer and they will charge you $50 for the radio code.Save the radio code, because you will need to type it in everytime you disconnect the battery or if the battery dies.

I had a 2000 Acura integra, that I bought used. The code wasn't in the glove-box, and I couldn't track down the original dealership, so I had to pay someone to take the radio out of the car and look on the back of it.

There is no default code, try the following.1. Look in glove box for small sticker with numbers, should be 5 digits with numbers no greater then 6.2. Pull out the ashtray and see if the sticker is on the back of there.(older models that have them)3. Pull radio from dash and write down radio serial number and call local dealer with that number and they will be able to get the code for you.4. If you happen to have all the books from the dealer look in the 'HONDA SERVICE HISTORY' book, not the owners manual. It should be on the first page in the AUDIO CODE box.The dealer can not give you the code for the radio with your VIN unless you purchased the car from the dealer and they still have your info on file. If they charge you it's because they will do step three above. Some say if you turn off radio and hold the 1 and 6 preset buttons then turn radio on it will give you the serial number.

There are some specialist who can recieve the code, I think. If the radio has a similar codeless model, you can buy the chip for that one and replace it for your one. I have done that.
