Default Best engine transfer for a Honda civic 1996-2000?

Best engine transfer for a civic would be? Im looking for around 300 horses.

the best engine for any car is the one it came with, then you can add after market goodys to increase horse power

i would put in a k24 block with a k20 rsx type-s head, some skunk 2 stage 3 cams and a 70 mm throttle body. you should be close to your 300hp goal with out a turbo.

hey i got a 94 honda coupe i put a b18 gsr in mine it runs good noticeable diffrence than the d16 but if u want 300 hp its not gonna be easy or cheap if u want a NA motor! ur best bet is to turbo something an if u turbo it dont get a vtec motor.so i like the b18 gsr but with a few mods that only around 200whp.ps.. for the top guys answer if u dont wanna turbo it then ull never get 300 out of the stock d16 y8

dude theres alot of engine that r good but i think the best ones r the K24 that's from the Acura TSX u can have it as a turbo or NA and the other one is the K20A2 and thats from the Acura RSX and this one would be good to have a turbo on it cus my friend has a 92 civic si and his is puting out 600+hp thats alot for a small ass car like that but heres another one the h22 u will find those in most mugen cars and there the best tuner company for hondas and most of there power plant is the h22.............

whats your budget?i'd go boosted gsr for 300hp.or keep you sohc, go forged rods and pistons and boost it on like 18psi
