Default Honda Civic 1.6 SiR?

http://www.carzone.ie/used-cars/Hond...-sir/704019/Do you think i shound buy this or something simmiler for my first car?i have 5k to spend, on a car and insurencedo you think this is a good car for first time driver? or should i get one with a smaller engine and save my money?and any other info would be great for a first time driver thanks

My freind that is a quality motor but them things are a nightmare on the insurance (in england at least) them B16 motors kick out some power for thier size

would be a good first car fast and reliable and if you look after it the only thing that really goes on these is the distributor which is no big deal. dont know what your insurance company's are like but you might have a bit of trouble with that but hey why do you really need insurance unless you gonna be silly just get third party which covers fire and theft and repairs to the other damages vechile but not your so if you dont crash into anybody your be all good

SiR wouldn't make a good first car, unless you want a lot of speeding tickets and high insurance and a good chance of your car getting stolen.I'd start off with an Lx or at most Ex/Si with a Z6 in it. The older Honda's don't do too well in crashes, so keep that in mind as well. Getting t-boned by any suv/truck is pretty much a death sentence unless you have a roll cage. They're cool cars, but in stock form (sometimes modified too) they aren't safe.-Chris
