What is the lifetime expectancy of a Honda motorycle engine?
I was considering a 01' Honda Shadow Spirit 1100cc bike with 17,000 miles on it. Price was 4grand. Bike was very clean, sounded beastly. How long do those engines last? Is the buy worth it?

Man, i've heard...not true or not that Honda motorcycle engines can go up and over 100,000 miles...but I guess that all depends on how you ride, and how well you maintain your bike. Maintenance is key. I've never seen a bikes mileage over 50,000 miles....but i'm sure they are out there. Price sounds a tad bit high though, with that year and mileage. Chris - CBR 600rr
