Default What can I do mechanically to increase the MPG in my Honda Passport?

I get OK mileage, but what are some things a mechanic can do to help increase this?

All you have to do is accelerate slowly and keep the car in a high gear and keep engine RPM's as low as possible and you can raise your average mpg by 10 or so.

Replace air filter and fuel filter at proper intervals. Make sure your tiers are properly inflated.Tune-up if needed (plugs, wires, belts hoses).Make sure transmission is shifting properly if not have it serviced.

they sell this liquid in auto stores that you pore into you gas tank and then you have to fill up your tank to full, but it makes your gas last longer. forgot the name tho. its only like $2, $3 but considering gas now a days thats less than a gallon so its not a bad investment. you can do it as many times as you want too. everytime you fill up if you feel like it...
