Smile 1997 civic cx swaped to a ?? 99 si i think??

Hello i have a 1997 honda civic that has been swaped to the v-tec Si motor
i was told it was the 1998 motor but some people have told me they didnt make the Si untill 1999. The reason i ask is because i want to make sure the car has the right ECU becuse the car curruntly wont pass e-test. The computer is prety much the last think it could be... The computer in the car now is a 37820-P2E-C03

I found a guy with a 99 si computer and he said the number on it was
