Default 93 JDM H22A motor thermostat?

I hear that for getting a 93 JDM H22A motor thermostat, if you go to the local parts store its smaller, but if you go to the dealer and ask for an 93 Honda Prelude Si VTEC thermostat, its actually the same size as the JDM thermostat, is that true? Cuz I have a 93 JDM H22A motor in my 93 Honda Accord A/T sedan.
