Default Help!! Stereo Issues?

I just bought a used 01 Civic. The radio says CODE when you push a button then if you push anything else is says ERROR.I am assuming this is some sort of antitheft device and I need a code...Can I get this from a Honda dealer or is it a universal code or what?!!?

look in you glove box also in the top of your trunk. they might be a # there if there is your in luck, if there is not then u have to call the deal.. to get the code they will ask you forthe serial # of the radio in order to give u the code.

Look in the Glove box, there might be a sticker with the CODE (it may not say CODE).OrCall any Honda/Acura Dealer. They will provide you with the code but not before asking you a "FEW" questions.

first check your owners manual. somewhere in that booklet should be your radio code printed. if that fails then go to this websitehttp://Radio-code.comgood luck

1. Look in glove box for small sticker with numbers, should be 5 digits with numbers no greater then 6.2. Pull out the ashtray and see if the sticker is on the back of there.3. Pull radio from dash and write down radio serial number and call local dealer with that number and they will be able to get the code for you.4. If you happen to have all the books from the dealer look in the 'HONDA SERVICE HISTORY' book, not the owners manual. It should be on the first page in the AUDIO CODE box.The dealer can not give you the code for the radio with your VIN unless you purchased the car from the dealer and they still have your info on file.
