I have a 2001 civic coupe that I bought used. When I take off my seatbelt it sometimes doesn't want to pull itself up. Like it gets stuck, I sometimes have to help it in order for it to readjust itself. If you have a civic, does yours do the same thing? Shouldn't the seatbelt pull itself up quickly and without geting stuck?

Well, I have a '96 civic, and yeah, mine does that. Don't know if you were just looking at the "newer" cars

but if it makes you feel better to know - mine does it, too

yea 2003, but if you do it slowly then it shouldnt get stuck. i got all my seatbelts fixed for 30 bucks, so when the car is in park the seatbelt dont get stuck at all but when its in drive you can pull it quickly but if its too quick then it could get stuckgood luck man

Sounds like your car just has some worn out springs on the seat belt. I used to drive a 96 Buick that I had to assist the belt to get it to retract. I guess that's what 140K miles will do to a car.

i got an 04 si and yea it all ways does this even thou the belt is straight and even it never goes up i allways have to push it. this happens to the passanger side too on my car
