Default increase in horsepower on civic sedan?

How can I increase the horsepower of a 2008 civic without having to increase the noise. Thinking of 160 or more. Is it possible to do this?

Without noise the only option is a turbo.... and U may only hear the whistle coming out from the turbo, beside you are going to have to change a few parts from ur original engine, but it's going to be less noise comparing it to using a new exhaust system. But forget it about.....u may lose ur factory warranty. Next time get a Civic SI.....which come with almost 200 horsies....In my opinion I would keep the car as original as I can.

The easy way would be spraying nitrous also the cheapest. Since a turbo kit hasent been made for theses cars nor any time soon since the K-serious motors are more popular. But for better flow of the engine look into a intake, and axle back exhaust of course asking your dealer if that would voild your warranty.

Be careful with nitrous. You need to know how and when to use it before you do.Put a cold air intake on it. If you drive it normal, it sounds normal. If you drive it fast, it sounds lound. You can make one and install it yourself for a little over 20 dollars and it will add a few horses. If you want dramatic horse power increase, go for a turbo.I dont understand why you dont want your car to sound loud, it just doesnt make sense.

You currently have 140 hp and you want 20 more? Get throttle body spacers and a light weight pulley. No sound, but a bit more performance. Intake, headers will make sound and catback no matter what people say... is just for show, does crap performance wise. the tornado chip is bs, it's not possible to get 80HP for $40. The turbo is nice, but the turbo cost 1/3rd the price of your car, so don't go that route.

Not everyone likes a loud, obnoxious car. Perhaps he doesn't want to wake up the neighborhood at 3 in the morning, or doesn't want every cop in town pulling him over. It makes perfect sense. You're just thick.

Turbo to avoid sound. Btw, turbo is generally about 3-5k depending on brand and whatnot.
