This a 95 honda civic. The parking lights will come on but when you put the headlights on the parking lights go out. Anyone ever ran across this problem with a civic before.

sounds like you need a new switch. My Accord did this.good luck

It's a comon problem, happens to alot of cars parked outside.Most likely problem is a dodgey earth somehwere in your electrics, maybe a rusty connection.

quit ****ing with it and it will stop

sounds like wiring issues ....check for splice wires to make sure they are not contacting the body also check minor things like fuses,blubs

When you turn your left lever to the 'parking light' icon, your parking lights, tail lights, instrument panel lights, and rear license plate lights should all turn on. If it they all turn off when you continue to switch to the 'headlight' icon, then your left lever that control the lights maybe faulty. You may need to get a new lever control switch.Otherwise, if it is just your parking lights that turn off, then you may have a short or exposed wire along the parking light wiring that needs repair. The positive wire to your parking lights are getting rerouted elsewhere when you turn on your head lights.Good luck!
