Default I have to take my 2008 honda accord to the honda dealer to get the oil changed.?

My car has the 190 horsepower 4 cylinder engine. The owners manual calls for 5w20 engine oil. Should I use the honda oil the dealer sells or use something like mobil 1. I plan on driving my car for several years. I do alot of stop and go driving.

you can use either conventional oil or synthetic(Mobil1).just make sure it is the correct viscosity. the engine is designed to use a specific viscosity so it would be best to stick with it.

you don't have to use honda oil. just make sure it's 5w20. some people use synthetic oils and swear by them. I've only bought used cars and have no experiance, but synthetic oil is primarily used for brand new cars.

the dealers use Castrol oil...so take it where you want...you can always use a 10 min oil place..take in your own filter and oil (which ever brand you want...I prefer Castrol, Quaker or whatever GOOD BRAND name is on sale) changing the oil and filter is important every 3000 miles...not where you get it done. (unless they do a bad job.)
