Default 98 Honda Civic "Overheating"

Hi All!! I recently replaced my 98 Honda Civic Ex AT trans radiator. After competion of installation I let my car idle and may be < 5min on idle the TEMP gauge shot up to "H". I have the Haynes Repair Manual and follow the the trouble shooting instructions. I have also "Googled" along with this site Forums about the issue I am having, every ones thread mentioned checking the Thermostat and I replaced (that's probably the cause of top of Radiator cracking in 1st place) it. Also the "Sensor" the plug w/bolt end that threads inside the thermostat housing I just replaced. The 3 black fuse under the hood seemed to be working (I've tested it and it clicks when connected to the + and ground on battery), I've connected the fan directly to batery and it kicks on. I've checked underneath the car and no radiator or any fluid leaking from the under the Timing belt area so I'm at this point assuming that the water pump. The top radiator hose get hot but the bottom one still remains cold. I've follow every single instructions that I can find to correct the issue but still no resolution. Any one have any idea on what else I am missing? I trying to stay away from bringing it to Honda b/c of $$$ although I did just get my timing belt replaced by them, but with all the work I've already done they may say that I did the damage.

If any one has any ideas or recomendations please let me know.
THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP!!
