im a new driver looking for a first car. i have a price range of around 25 thousand. 25 being the very top. i am very interested in the honda civic. i have looked at the lancer but the insurance is too high. if there is another car that i should look into please tell me.I am really confused however on the different models of the civic. they have they coupe and sedan range and stuff. thats the difference between those? i basically want the ex package. with a moon roof, mp3 cable, etc. What would you consider to be a good civic? I like the si series out of those, but i really know nothing about cars so i have no idea if those are good =). Is the sedan better then the coupe? Thanks

Okay, if you like the EX then go with the EX. Sounds like you can afford it. The EX/LX is just a difference in equipment levels. The Si increases performance a bit and has some stylistic features that you can't get stock on the other models. Coupe/Sedan is really a personal preference. Do you want the style of the coupe? Then get it. Will people often be riding in your backseat or will you be using the backseat a lot for other things? Then its probably better to get the sedan. With the newer body style, I think both coupe/sedan are attractive, so its really going to be about how you are using it.

a 2008 civic ex-L (the ex doesnt have leather seats, the ex-L does) in the us is about 20k-22k and it comes fully equiped, is a simple car that has few "complicated stuff" that might go wrong, so in other words, w/e the car has will work just as it is suppose, the civic is a great car, i myself have one, and out of all cars i browsed when i was going to buy it, by far the civic had the better feeling interior, nissan for example seems extremely cheap interior, bad quality plastics.if you wont be moving around people, the coupe is better (2 doors) that means you have a bigger door so you can enter more easy in the car, also i think that if you willing to spend up to 25k you should also take a look at the accord, i couldnt afford it but the interior has nothing to envy to cars that are 10k more expensive. dont know thou if with 25k you can have it with leather seats moon roof, etc, but i think it worth investigating it ;D

Okay I can't give you specifics but I suggest that if this is your first car (I had £500 to spend on my first car not 25000!) then i do not suggest you start punching above your weight. Don't get a super fast car becuase you can...your lack of skill is either gonna mean you crash or damage the car or probably just get caught speeding!Try something lower down like a 1.6litre engine or 1.8 max. I drive a1995 1.5 civic coupe and its still quick (yes, even for only a 1.5ltr). The new Honda Civic is very good and you can get the Type R 2.0ltr with full trim and options easily within your budget. Please remember you can get smaller engined cars with full trim and options....you really need a 140mph car when you drive around a city?! i only say this because i've known people to go off and spend thousands on their first car only to get banned, written off, or in 2 cases killed!!!!Good luck though.

these questions seem more personal.. personally i like the civics and since you got so much money id get a new honda civic ex.. i personally like the ex versions better.. and i mean they are good cars..and will last you a LONG time. 2 door vs 4 door is more on what you like i like the coupe cause it looks more sporty.

Well the Si is the 'race' version of the Civics. (previously known as the SiR). The CX, DX, EX, LX are pretty much similar to one another.I personally like the sedan based on 4 is better than 2, I would base a sedan vs coupe decision on your routines as in what you do, who you take (in terms of numbers), what you take (in terms of size), etc.A Civic is a good, reliable car.
