i was looking at sum headers on ebay for my prelude.. does it matter if they arent brand headers? will it still give it sum horses or not? will it make my car sound louder? cus i can NOT have my car sounding like a lawnmower on its last days.. any help for a noob like me? thnx...

no name headers won't help much or at all with HP.

Name brand or no name brand if it is bigger than stock it will help. Not enough that you will notice a big change though. It may get a little louder but not much.

no name, name brand, custom headers, they all have a different effect as lkong as they give you a better airflow coming out of the engine it will help you out. the only thing is if you have headers on you are going to need to get a full exhaust kit or you can have them make your own. if you want buy a resonator from jegs.com its the thrush magnum glasspack its 31" long with a 2.25 in/outlet and have any mufflershop put a 2.25 exhaust from the headers to the back with the resonator installed. it will give you a better air flow with almost no sound. if you do get sound from it maybe by adding an exhaust tip. it will still sound deep. but if you add headers and an exhaust you will need to allow the engine to breathe better so you will need to get atleast a short ram intake if you can get a cold air intake that is better but an aftermarket intake will be fine even a no name brand one. this allows the engine to take in more air and to release more air through the exhaust giving it a better response. this wont give you to much HP it will help more on the Torque then anything and give you a better throttle respone to the car. that allows you to accelerate alittle faster.
