Default What is the differences between a 1996 Honda Accord & a 1997 Honda Accord?

Maybe some minor cosmetics, but that was all. The 5th generation Accord spanned the years 1994-97. The next major redesign was for the 1998 model year.

No change from the 1996 to the 1997 Honda Accord in the US. The only difference was that for 97 they had an additional Special Edition Accord which had a bit more equipment than an LX but less than an EX trim level. Honda overhauled the Accord and released a new body style for 1998 . . . so 1997 was just a continuation of '96 as Honda finished the advertising and launch for the 1998 re-design.

"For 1996, Honda has given the Accord some styling tweaks -- new taillights and bumper covers, along with revised grille treatments give the Accord a fresh look. Wagons get a roof rack, while sedans offer a new pass-through ski sack.Changes to the ever-popular 1997 Honda Accord include the deletion of antilock brakes on the LX five-speed models and the discontinuation of the EX Coupes with leather. No other changes for the 1997 Accord. "THERE WERE VERY MINIMAL CHANGES FROM THE 96 TO 97 BECAUSE THEY WERE COMING OUT WITH A WHOLE NEW BODY STYLE. 1994-1997 HONDA ACCORDS ARE FOR THE MOST PART INTERCHANGEABLE IN A LOT OF THEIR PARTS.
