i cant find it anywhere online or assembly pics, the intske starts around the battery, then moves to this BOX type thing???? then its the filter. I may sound like an idiot but i dont wanna start taking it apart till im sure.

Without seeing a picture I would suppose that it's the resonator chamber. I believe that it cuts down on noise. Here is a link to a diagram of what I think it is:http://www.hondapartswarehouse.com/p...05#searchform.

the technical term is a resonator chamber. i call it the air box because its where the intake sucks in from. you can take it off and it wont make any difference in performance or sound. its used to remove some sound from the intake but it doesnt do much but take up space in the engine compartment. i always take it off on all my hondas and add an extra air filter where it would normally connect to the air box or add a cold air intake.
