it could be tons of things bad fuel pump, bad starter, bad spark plugs, etc.

Take it to a mechanic, there's to many possibilities to name that may be causing that problem.

Could be a fuel pump as someone mentioned. It also could be the distributor.......oil gets inside the distributor and will shut you down. Oil on the crank sensor. A bad distributor cap and rotor. There is a number of things.

honestly that sounds like a seized motor. will it crank over? whats it doing?pull the plugs and see what they look like. if it cranks check the compression.

Jump start your car and rev up your rpm to 2500 on neutral. Then have someone measure the voltage across your battery terminals with a multimeter. If voltage reading is below 13.5 volts, then the diodes in your alternator have gone bad. Your alternator may have failed to recharge your battery and also could no longer power your distributor and other electrical components in your car. Bad alternators can lead to unexpected stalling and car starting difficulties.A new alternator costs about $140 from your local auto parts store. Replacing your old only requires disconnecting your battery, removing 2 wires, and about 5 bolts.Good luck!
