Default The cigarette lighter of my 94 Honda Accord wont work?

I had a problem with the interior light fuse of my accord not too long ago after i took my car for repairs. the fuse blew up about 3 times before i replaced it with a slightly higher fuse and it has worked ever since but what i noticed was the cigarette light stopped working. i checked the fuse and they are fine, i still replaced them just to be sure but nothing happened. Infact i took out the higher fuse that i used for the interior light just incase it was the reason the cigarette lighter wasnt working and that didnt do it as well. Right now i am short of ideas on what might be wrong but i am up for all the advise possible. I dont want to take it to a shop and spend hundreds of dollars for something that might be minor (trust me car repair no matter how minor cost a lot in my area in the chicago suburbs). I need the lighter to power my nav system and make use of my microsoft subscription!the fuse that i initially replaced is for the interior light which happen to control the 1st intermittent speed of the wiper also. the higer fuse is just .5 higher than the required fuse capacity of 7.5 (and yes it is a little read one) the fuse for the cig. lighter is 15 amps and i have checked it and it is fine. so i guess i should just replace the lighter. where can i buy one and any instructions on how to replace it.for the chinese guy, this forum is to help each other with their problems and not belittle them, if your job sucks find another one

Check the connection behind the lighter...it may have come loose. If not then replace the lighter all together.Cheap and easily done.

which fuse did you replace before? cause the cigarette lighter has its own fuse, look either on the side panel by the drivers side or under the hood, i believe its a red fuse, if their is little map on the cap of the fuse box, it will show you which fuse it is, it will say cig ltr, just check it, it probably is broken, and if not, then see what else controls the cig ltr, or maybe it is the connection.

I read that if you put a higher fuse where it shouldn't it can cause a fire, are you sure its worth that sort of a risk for a cigarette lighter? On the topic though if you can't get your lighter to work you can always use your power input from the stereo, it would involve adding some wires but its possible.
