What are some common problems for The Del Sol, because i might buy a 1997 Honda Del Sol for $1,500 and its stick. I know one big one is the Seat are usually torn and that the seal for the T-top can crack if not lubricated and leak water. But what are some other ones? Tell me or show me some site. Thanks

i had one...its a bad ass little car. some of the problems i had....roof seals cracked and leaked when it rained, e-beak went out a few times, my kneese always hit the dash (its a really small car) power windows didnt work..(there is a box behind the dash that gets unhooked easily, other then that if you take care of it its a good car. never broke down on me, easy to modify. you can use alot of civic parts on it. its light so you can get it to go really fast. there is a rack in your trunk for the t-top so dont wory about that. it actually has a really spacious trunk as well. hope you enjoy it if you get it.

The base model has an underpowered 1.5L engine. The del sol with the 1.6 Vtech is decent. They are extremely small. No back seat. Huge trunk, very light!$1500 seems reasonable for it.

1500 is an excellent price for it the only thing is del sols dont have T-tops they have Targa tops but the only thing to worry about on it would be that the top leaks other then that everything else that could happen to it would most likely happen to any other car. the e brake taht the other guy said just needs to be sure its adjusted after the 1st time it happened whoever did it might have done a crappy job on it. i had a 92 crx or del sol hatchback it is a really small car but very reliable and very beautiful when fixed up and clean. for 1500 i would just check the milage on it take it for a test drive and make sure no gears grind, the clutch isnt slipping, and its getting a good throttle response then go for it.
