Are they fast and reliable? Why did Honda Discontinue making them?

Its a little old so as long as it is in good shape when you buy it, and you take care of it, it will be reliable and should last for awhile at least. It is still a car meant to save on gas, and have a peppy feel since I have never driven one I cannot say, but I wouldn't expect it to be fast.

There great, I haven't driven a 89-91 CRX before but my dad has a 89 Civic Hatchback 5 speed and there basically the same except the Civic has rear seats and its just as fun. There not to fast though so the first thing you should consider is a engine swap which shouldn't be to expensive. The B Series engine is perfect for the CRX.

if your just gonna daily drive it make sure its an Si or hf.

89-91 crx's r great cars! depending on what u want. i haved owned 2. an 89 and a 91. i have the 89 now. it has 361,887 miles on it. the motor was rebuilt at 350,000. any car is reliable if u take care of it. but im partial to hondas!! as 4 fast. there not fast stock! but u can do a very inexpensive motor swap and it will blow ur mind at the differance!!!!! just get a zc motor and tranny. slips right in! all u need is a wiring connector from hasport racing. im a mechanic. so if u need any help if u get the car . let me know. i love 2 see a little crx rollin!!!! oh! and as 4 honda discontinuing them. dont know. not really important.
